We organise and run a variety of different events for Youth (P6-S4) both locally and for the Diocese as a whole. Each event is intended to give young people an opportunity to grow in:

  • Friendship with one and other – meeting other young people from their own area and the wider Diocese and making new friends.
  • Faith in God – through talks and discussion, helping them to know God better and grow in their knowledge and love of him.
  • And most of all, to have fun whilst doing it all.

Most of our youth events are led by our S3 Junior Leaders, recruited from through their schools and parishes. The Junior Leaders lead the activities, as well as providing some of the faith witness and talk inputs, drawing on their own lives and experience. Our Adult Leaders oversee the events, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all of the young people involved at all times.

For Youth, our events include:

  • Monthly Youth Evenings in their local cluster:
    • St Joseph’s Academy Cluster (East Ayrshire) – St Joseph’s RC Church, 15A Hill Street, Kilmarnock, KA3 1HB
    • St Matthew’s Academy Cluster (North Ayrshire) – St Peter-in-Chains RC Church, 1 South Crescent Road, Ardrossan KA22 8DU
    • Queen Margaret Academy Cluster (South Ayrshire) – St Margaret’s Cathedral, 27 John St, Ayr KA8 0BS
    • St Joseph’s College Cluster (Dumfries & Galloway) – St Teresa’s RC Church, Glasgow Street, Dumfries DG2 9DE
  • Diocesan Celebration Days around Easter, Summer, and Christmas

  • Various Pilgrimages throughout the year to:

All of our events are supervised by our volunteer teams of Adult Leaders. They are all fully disclosed and have completed the church’s Safeguarding Training.
