Fr Kevin and Margaret have been visiting primary and secondary schools across the Diocese to promote our programme of upcoming events, if they haven’t made it to your child’s school yet don’t worry – they’re no doubt on their way!
To help parents and carers find out more information about what’s happening, this page contains links to all of the events they’ve been promoting, and also a copy of the letter distributed to all young people in P5 and up.
We can’t wait to welcome your child along to one or more of our events soon – and remember, there’s no obligation to attend every event, if you can’t make an event your child is welcome to attend another event on a different date.
Youth Evenings – you only need to complete the Consent Form once per year. Once it’s completed, your child can come along to any of the Youth Evenings – there’s no need to register for each evening individually.
Advent Youth Retreat – to guarantee your child’s place at the early bird price of £140, please note that you have to have registered by Easter Sunday (5th April).
For any parents/ carers wanting to come along to a Youth Evening you will be made most welcome by our fantastic teams on the ground in our four clusters. While there’s no expectation for parents/ carers to attend, we recognise that some children may want you to stay the first time or, if you’re travelling, you might want to stay for the duration. You are more than welcome to stay: to participate in the Mass, and to meet other parents over tea or coffee and biscuits while your child takes part in the evening.
Unfortunately due to limited space on the bus and our desire to ensure that as many young people as possible are able to take part, we are not able to offer transport to parents/ carers to attend the Easter Youth Gathering.
Please note, if you are attending a Youth Evening as a parent/ carer we have a strict no photography policy. Photographs are taken with consent by our team for publicity purposes however for reasons of child protection parents/ carers are not permitted to take photos.

Code of Conduct – When attending any of our events, we take our duty of care to your child extremely seriously. To ensure the safety of all young people participating in our events, all young people are required to have agreed to the Code of Conduct which sets out our expectations and how we deal with any incidents.
