Advent Retreat

After the success of our 2025 Advent Youth Retreat we can’t wait to return to Gowanbank in November 2026 for our next Retreat. In 2025 we welcomed 29 young people from across the Diocese as they gathered for the weekend to take part in a range of different activities, and we can’t wait to return this year with old and new faces for 2026!

The retreat runs from 5.00 pm on Friday 27th November to 4.00 pm on Sunday 29th November. Over the course of the weekend, young people will take part in a range of different activities and talks including:

  • A range of different outdoor activities, including: Archery, Tree Climbing, and Archery Tag.
  • Join in times of prayer, reflection, Adoration and group discussion, as well as having the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).
  • Taking part in a range of different social activities, including arts and crafts, games, and a silent disco.
  • Hearing from a number of different speakers on the themes of Advent and Christmas.
  • Spending time with friends and making new friends too with young people from across the Diocese.
