The Youth Office works hard to provide as many opportunities as possible for Youth and Young Adults through the Diocese to come together and to grow in friendship and faith. All of our leaders are volunteers, and as far as possible we endeavor to run all of our events as cheaply as possible – normally for free – to ensure that no young person is disadvantaged from being able to participate in our events.

Some of our events – Generation Hope and our Retreats – unavoidably incur a cost and we will always do our best to keep this as low as possible in order to ensure as many young people as possible can participate.

As we grow, we’re working to establish a fund which will support young people in ensuring that they can participate: by providing funded, or part funded places; as well as helping to fund our regular monthly events and Diocesan events. To this end, we have launched our new 200 Club.

Anyone is able to join the club and to pay £5 per month to be entered into the monthly draw, with four prizes available:

• 1st Prize – 20% of the total
• 2nd Prize – 10% of the total
• 3rd & 4th Prizes – 5% of the total

The total being the money raised through that months draw. For instance, if 100 people were in the draw, 1st place would receive £100, 2nd place £50, and 3rd/ 4th place £25. The remaining 60% will be used by the Youth Office to support events and bursaries for young people throughout Galloway.

The first draw will take place on Friday 3rd October. To be entered, your subscription must have been received by Friday 26th September.
